I have been planning this for a while now, and as I near the last two weeks of reading Twilight, the time has come to open the polls!
Everyone knows the importance of the final song in a film, the one that plays during the credits. The purpose of this is to bring the film to a closing with a song that seems to represent the movie you just watched. As songs have been such an important part of each chapter post, I have decided to take a vote for what the final song for Twilight should be, in the opinion of all the Twilighters around the world!
The goal is to find a song that seems to represent Twilight (the first book) as a whole to you. You can nominate up to 3 songs, but you must submit them separately.
There will be two rounds. One, will be suggesting songs. The second will be voting on the top-ten of those suggested. I will post the song for Twilight when I write on the epilogue, with my final thoughts on the book.
Also, as I am one who abhors polls with no prize, I am offering a free BITE ME HAT and MITCH HANSEN BAND CD to a randomly chosen person from those who enter– all straight from TwilightTeez.com!

I’m a bit confused. The winning song will the one that has the most “votes” or submissions? Aren’t you choosing based on your own opinion Kaleb? I feel that this song best represents the first book Twilight because the book is really about the love story between Edward and Bella.
You kids are cute picking the Jonas Brother’s and Miley Cyrus but let’s be serious… This book is obsession, lust, mystery and mayhem and the music needs to be deep, dark and far away from the top 20. I mean “Bleeding Love”?? There is no chance in forks that a pop song will be picked. If it’s not a Muse or Linkin Park song then it may certainly be something that Hasn’t hit the mainstream (If Alex lives up to her name!) and if it HAS to be maintream, Flyleaf gets my vote.

Emily (#164)- the problem with Relient K is most of their songs are too happy and they don’t have any dark side to it, except for I Need You, which is a song about him needing God (they are a Christian band), so that wouldn’t exactly work (“When my hopes seem to dangle

Allaboutthemusic (#172)- That’d be cool if a song by Flyleaf was up there. I’ve been listening to them ever since they were just some Christian band from Texas whom no one had heard about. 😛
I think most people are only picking songs that reflect twilight well, but not thinking about THE END CREDITS which is what this song would be used for.
Like, Time is Running out by Muse is an amazing song. And we all know Stephenie loves Muse. But it isnt a “credits” kind of song. You know?

Meg & Dia’s “Monster” would be a perfect choice i think. The lyrics and just the whole slightly angsty mood of the song give you the chills. Perfect vampire love song.

Well, I’m old sorta . . . 34. So, I’m a TwilightMom, of sorts. My pick is from my teen years – “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel.
I chose “Heaven Forbid” by the Fray, but some of you guys have much better suggestions.

I am so stoked for Breaking Dawn! I’m literally counting the hours! But the song I picked is called Lullaby, the the Spill Canvas. You guys should really listen to it! It’s absolutely perfect, every single word!
That was really hard to choose! After a while I came up with this:

Really just check out some of the lyrics, they are all really beautifull, especially Jesus Christ. I know I have some investigating to do myself.
Personally, I think Twilight by Vanessa Carlton makes the most sense in relation to the novel. It reminds me of how everything about Bella changed from beginning to end:
