As is tradition on this site, the time has come to pick the song for Eclipse!
For each chapter I have written about, I have picked a song that I think best fits the mood and scenes in that part of the book. However, as with my final reviews of Twilight and New Moon, I am letting you, the loyal readers of my site, pick the final song that you think BEST FITS WITH THE ENTIRE NOVEL as a whole.
The voting will take place in two parts: the first will be suggesting songs, for one week, and then the second will be voting from the top ten most suggested. You can nominate up to three songs per person, and can also choose songs that were already used for chapter posts — use the form below to start sending them in!
There will perhaps also be certain epic prizes for people who send in suggestions and comment on this post: though I can’t quite reveal what they are until February 28 (oh wait, I’ve said too much…). Have fun!

“Two Princes” by Spin Doctors
its perfect in describing the relationship between bella, edward and jacob and how they’re both fighting for her affection. i think this is the perfect song!

I found some nice Evanescence songs that fit.
i totes agree w/ the katie perry suggestion that song really fits the story line. Bella’s feelings towards jacob were hot and her feelings to edward we cold lol

Really excited, wow, almost done with Eclipse! I remember when you were still on Twilight!
So, I picked Tattoo by Jordin Sparks, Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy, and “The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot” by Brand New. And I’m thrilled that my songs might actually get selected this year, cause I’m not the only one who’s nominating them, judging by the comments above!
I chose “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz……I thought it was a good song for Eclipse.
and also “Hot ‘N’ Cold” by Katy Perry
WOW. This was so hard but I finally made my choices!
I went with Hysteria by Muse because I think it fits with Bella, Edward and Jacob.
Clocks by Coldplay because I feel it fits with Bella’s confusion in this book.
And the third one was hardest because I had like seven songs and could only pick one more so I went with a choice that someone else had mentioned Two Princes by Spin Doctors because I agree that it fits with Edward and Jacob both being love with Bella and her having to choose.

I said “Vindicated” by Dashboard Confessional. Some of the lyrics really seem to mirror some of the madness (awesome madness) that’s going on in Eclipse, in my opinion. Wow; it’s really hard to choose!

ok sorry about my extensive knowledge of pop princesses and boy bands, growing up in the 90s has left its marks on me.
I chose “Hysteria” from Muse… I think it describes all the tension between Jacob, Edward and Bella… and also all the fight, yeah!
Looking through the comments my favorite suggestions (besides mine!) are Total Eclipse of the Heart and Tattoo. Great songs everybody!

I think a good song for eclipse is Falling Away With You- The Muse.
I think “Never Say Never” by The Fray would be an awesome pick for Eclipse…Its a very…JacobxBella Song…and you could throw in Edward too if you interpret the lyrics…
I think that Monsoon by Tokio Hotel would be a great song choice for Eclipse.

There are 3 characters I thought of while hearing the lyrics.
Jacob(Moon), Alice(Visions),& Bella (Hearing Edward).
Even though the hearing Edward part is actually part of New Moon, I still think this song would be perfect.

This book is a real challenge because ther are so many elements to it and so many different P.O.V.s to consider.

So I only submitted two songs because I can’t make up my mind on a third. My picks:
-“Monsters” by Matchbook Romance. Edward calls himself a ‘monster’ because he is a vampire and could so easily kill Bella. Bella calls herself a ‘monster’ for putting herself, Jacob and Edward through such tremendous pain while she tries to decide who she wants to be with.
-“Gravity” by Sara Bareilles. Bella calls Jacob her sun and feels pulled to him like a planet being pulled in by a star’s gravitational force. But at the same time, she is tied to Edward by a force stronger than the ‘gravity’ that pulls her to Jacob.
If I make up my mind about a third song, I’ll submit it. In the meantime, I will puzzle my brain about what is in The Box of Awesome. :]

I’m almost disappointed that I submitted my choices already because people have posted some ideas that I like better!
But I’m sure a very suitable song will win because the winners for Twilight and New Moon were most definitely excellent choices.
I don’t know if I mentioned this to you before, Kaleb (actually, I’m absolutely positive I had never even uttered the very words I am about to say), but, I absolutely dispise you right now! Saturday is NOT coming close enough, and it is KILLING me to know what is in store for those who win the epic prizes.
