As is tradition on this site, the time has come to pick the song for Eclipse!
For each chapter I have written about, I have picked a song that I think best fits the mood and scenes in that part of the book. However, as with my final reviews of Twilight and New Moon, I am letting you, the loyal readers of my site, pick the final song that you think BEST FITS WITH THE ENTIRE NOVEL as a whole.
The voting will take place in two parts: the first will be suggesting songs, for one week, and then the second will be voting from the top ten most suggested. You can nominate up to three songs per person, and can also choose songs that were already used for chapter posts — use the form below to start sending them in!
There will perhaps also be certain epic prizes for people who send in suggestions and comment on this post: though I can’t quite reveal what they are until February 28 (oh wait, I’ve said too much…). Have fun!

I put Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional. Have you ever listened to that song while thinking of Eclipse? HOLY. SHIT. Plus Stephenie Meyer agrees. She put it on her playlist for Eclipse (Which I freaked out on when I saw because it’s also my favorite song EVER but still…)

I chose “Bizarre Love Triangle” by New Order because amidst all the other action and events going on, that is the central core plot element of “Eclipse:” the indeed ‘bizarre’ love triangle between Bella, Jacob, and Edward. Eclipse is about making a choice between those loves and having to live with the consequences of someone getting hurt.

Wow, this is tough… I really like a lot of the suggestions so far. I searched my own playlist, but I mostly found songs that fit New Moon and Breaking Dawn, oddly enough… So I will definitely be putting in some suggestions for Breaking Dawn, when that time comes! 😉 Anyway…
For my own suggestion, I went with “Let the Flames Begin” by Paramore, because I like that it really fits with the battle sequence at the end. (I have to be honest, I’m with you in that I love the battles even more than the romance, Kaleb! :D)
And it just fits so well with the alliance between the Cullens and the werewolves against Victoria and the newborns, especially the parts like this:
“This is how we’ll dance when they try to take us down,” etc.
(And hey, it even has the “dancing” part, like in your last chapter analysis! Haha…)
Also, I noticed the second verse could really fit with how Bella wants to sacrifice her own life for her friends, even though she’s the “weak” human and can’t do much to help. It also talks about having regrets for her selfishness, which works as a reference to Bella’s situation with Jacob as well. So I think it really fits overall, especially with the latter parts of the book. 🙂

“Trouble” and “The Scientist” by Coldplay, most of the lyrics can be linked to Twilight/Eclipse in some way, but I am just a crazed Twilight saga fan.
PS: Yesterday I saw a Volvo C30, it wasn’t silver but it went past me and I started jumping up and down, my friend thought I was having a fit or something 😛

I also really like “All Good Things Come to an End” by Nelly Furtado and “The Lion and the Wolf” by Thrice, which others have already suggested. I particularly like that they both incorporate potential werewolf-related imagery, haha. 😀 Plus, the second one REALLY fits the triangle situation in the book, in a kind of eerie way.
I did Mr. Brightside, because its perfect from Jacob’s POV, and it was already selected for, what was it, Chapet 23 or sumthing.

A Minor Incident, by Badly Drawn Boy does it for me… Though it leaves out Edward, I think it’s perfect for Bella and Jacob’s relationship (especially with the last chapters and the epilogue of Eclipse, but I won’t say anything about that ^^)

most of muse’s songs work great, but like everyone, i too thought of hysteria and time is running out.
I chose “Story” by Maroon 5. It just seems to sum up why Jake and Edward want to keep Bella away from the other. And how Bella feels about Edward. I just find it a really fitting match for Eclipse and when I hear it I always think of that book.
I picked “My Last Breath” by Evanescence. It may be a little dark for Eclipse, but the lyrics fit so well.

I picked three songs:
One of which was “Creep” by Radiohead. I think that it works for the three main characters on various levels: Bella “You’re just like an angel

For Edward particularly the rest of the song applies.. especially “I don’t belong here”
the other two I picked, are more for Jacob. For some reason I found it easier to pick songs for him, than for the other two. In my mind this book deals a lot with Jacob and he is one of the main focuses. I don’t know.
