I just got this from Summit. I’ve shortened it so you just have to read the important stuff:
Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg, and will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer will produce the project.
“Bringing Stephenie Meyer’s BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity,” said Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment.
Added author Stephenie Meyer, “I’m so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he’s going to be a great fit, and I’m excited to see what he does with the material.” […]
Condon wrote and directed DREAMGIRLS, KINSEY, and GODS AND MONSTERS, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1999. He was nominated for a second Oscar for his screenplay for CHICAGO in 2003.
The third film is due in theaters on June 30, 2010.
Is it just me, or is it news that Stephenie Meyer will be co-producing the next movie? Looks like she’ll be even more hands-on with the final movie in the Saga! Do you think this one will be even closer to the books with Stephenie having more control? Or maybe she just wants to make sure they don’t go overboard with those Isle Esme scenes 😀

ok i've heard rumors that they might be making breaking dawn into two movies..is there any truth to this?
if i was her id be worried about them going overboard with the isle esme scenes….cause in even pg13 movies it goes way beyond stephenie's appropriate description….and i think theyve done fairly well at staying true to the books…some of the best adaptations ive ever seen…but im sooo glad she is now co-producer…hopefully they will turn out awsome!!
i sooo don't like this! i'm seriously worried with this guy taking care of the movie! he has nothing workwise to give me confidence. i really hope he doesn't destroy the final installment of the saga!
I'm curious to see how they'll handle the honeymoon scenes… I sure hope they don't go overboard.
i sure hope they do; it'd make the movie better….and if they don't show the entire birth scene etc, I'll be quite angry…either way, there has to be nudity in this movie for it to stay true to the book, and implied sex at least. It is there….

i think that it's soo stupid that they will split movie in two part,and the first part will start playing in cinemas 18.11.2011. , they say it's bc of that the book is full of details and stuff that they can't put in one movie,i mean comee on!!.. make a movie like lord of the ring, it can last 3 hours, i don't mind,do you?… i thing it's just a marketing trick, the same that they are doing with the last part of harry potter, they will also split it in 2 movies. soo damn stupid. i mean, they say that they haven't written a screenplay yet, haha, i think they are laying, like they let out the eclipse 31.06.2010. and we all knewed that the movie was finished a months before,and there were roumors that they are shooting breaking dawn already. soo, they just wanna let us wait and wait…and make teenage girl scream when they see them,more and more,but …if they are gonna relise the 2. part od movie braking dawn..in…i don't know…2013?? then that will be a totally diffrent generation of ppl who now love the books and movies…soo it soo freaking STUPID!!!

The final book itself destroyed the saga, silly girl. There's not much more they could do to make it worse.

Please stick to the book! The vampires are suppose to be growling and hissing. I have not seen any of that in the previous 3 films.
