Filmmaker Statement Regarding Breaking Dawn Leaks

Just got this from Summit Entertainment:

Dear Twilight Saga fans,

As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a work in progress have leaked on the internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage.

The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.

Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.

Stephenie Meyer, Bill Condon, Wyck Godfrey and Summit Entertainment

twilightguy.com does not post leaked photos or videos, and any comments with links to this type of stuff gets deleted.

From the other part of my life where I write books, I know the frustration that can come when people read/judge my unfinished drafts — you want them to see it in its best condition, after you’ve had a chance to polish it! So it’s best to wait until the movie is finished before seeking out those clips and stills 🙂

  1. I saw those pics, i told myself that they were great the way they were….they will simply be awesome( pretty sure about that!!) When they will be polished by the talented crew of post-production……

  2. That's really sad that people can't seem to wait for movies to be completed anymore. They're working hard on this stuff. It shouldn't be viewed without it being completed.

  3. Consider it a COMPLIMENT that fans can't wait to see or read the finished product, which they are purposly draging their feet on to complete! First Midnight Sun, and now this. Get them done ALREADY!
