1. Wow, okay so update…
   I actually read EVERY SINGLE COMMENT and I’m happy that people actually like the song I suggested in (Lion).
   Yeah, okay some people may not like it, but its okay, I respect your opinion.
   And also… it seems to me like people think of it in Edwards point of view…
   Okay I’m sorry but… no.

   And one more thing I forgot to say earlier….
   Bleeding Love….. NO. Sure, the lyrics sorta kinda fit, but the genre is just… no. *flails*

   and the other songs… to me they seem to fit either a single chapter or one of the other books…
   I don’t know… just my opinion.
   But thank you all who support Lion! ^^

2. I’m torn! Your Guardian Angel is really how I’ve pictured Twilight. I adore Red Jumpsuit and I happened to be listening to them when I was reading Twilight and it just spoke volumes to me.

   MUSE and FLYLEAF are great, but Time is Running Out I don’t feel encompasses the entire book. All Around Me I definitely relate to New Moon way more than to Twilight.

   Iris is wonderful. I hadn’t even thought of that song, but the moment I saw it on the list I was like…Oooooh.

   Hmmm…the deliberation continues….

3. wow, all of the are pretty good. except i dont understand the hello goodbye on, it doesnt seem like twilight at all. but i LOVE This is for keeps – The Spill Canvas basically because it totally fits. i know someone on here said that edward doesnt want to change her so it doesnt fit. But edward does want to change her, but he feels selfish and evil for wanting to, and there is a part of him that doesnt, but that is what the song captures is that dilemma. plus the chorus is totally from bellas point of view too. 😀
   then i also like iris, but its too old and used for another movie, as is lion(the lyrics fit really well, but it is for narnia). so i really also like guardian angel, and time is running out, also all around me. i think they all fit well in a way. it was really hard to choose.

5. I have loved “Your Guardian Angel” since the first time I heard which was sometime last year i think and it is amy all time favorite song!! While I was reading Twilight this was the 1st song that played in my head! I am so glad that they chose it because it fits both in Edward and Bella’s perspective and throughout Twilight Bella is constantly teling Edward to not walk away and that’s what keeps being mentioned in the song (sorry 4 such a long comment :()

7. omg i’m so happy that ‘Lion’ is up there! its the perfect twilight song. just listen to the lyrics! i’d type them out but i’m really lazy so maybe someone else will??*nudgenudge* *winkwink*:]*bats eyelashes hopefully*:]:]

   Also, ‘Hero/Heroine’ is pretty good too. ‘Bleeding Love’ is awsome for New Moon but i don’t really like ‘Time Is Running Out’. and i don’t get why ‘Here In Your Arms’ is on that list. to me it doesn’t seem like a Twilight song.

12. ugh..this is soo hard i really don’t know what to vote for.
    everybody knows “hero/herine” and i wanted something new for twilight.
    “time is running out” is kind of for midnight song, since it’s from edward’s perspective.
    “lion” is just perfect, every single line is perfect for twilight, BUT it belongs to the chronicles of narnia soundtrack…
    “iris” again everybody know that song; the lyrics are beautiful, but some lines fit for bella some for edward like
    ” and i don’t want the world to see me, cuz i don’t think that they’d understand”..but it’s a beautiful song <3 it

13. I agree with Hannah #117, there are too many mainstream songs on here. It sames as if people just voted their favorite love song on there without much thought. I would have love to seen some DC4C or Dashboard Confessional

    It’s so pretty!!
    It describes the meadow scene to perfection, and that totally what the whole book is about.
    In Edwards words.

16. Wow, I really think these songs are good choices!!! I voted for Time Is Running Out by Muse, for I love that song and it fits Twilight perfectly ^_^ It was a hard decision for me between that and “All Around Me” but I guess I’m kinda voting favorites 😛

    And I also would liek to say that “Seventeen Forever” is kinda contradicting because the lyrics say “You won’t be seventeen forever
    And we can get away with this tonight — You’re wise beyond your years, but I don’t care” so it wouldn’t make sense from either of their points of view. Bella will be, well, hopefully 18 forever, Edward is already 17 forever, and the wise beyond your years part wouldn’t make sense at all.

17. Wow, I take that back. I just read the lyrics for “This Is For Keeps” and realized it was basically a vampire song, lol 😛 But to tell you the truth it sounds way more like the end of New Moon. I think they’re are way more New Moon songs than Twilight ones, but still….

I feel, along with most people, that time is running out is the best. it has exact sayings that were in the book, and is relatable to both bella and edward. all around me was good too, but too generic, along with bleeding love, here in your arms, and hero/ heroine. this is for keeps seems to say that he WANTS to turn her into a vampire, which isn’t the case in twilight. Iris is perfect, but its mostly in edward’s point of view. this other songs just don’t fit that well.

19. one thing about time is running out that I didnt like, was that it was a little too rockish and upbeat for twilight. on the other hand, seeing as twilight has a happy ending, its good in a way.

21. That was really hard! I narrowed it down to five pretty quickly, but then I agonized over “Your Guardian Angel”, “Time Is Running Out” (I still think this one’s better for New Moon), “Hero/Heroine”, “Iris”, and “Lion”, just because of the lyrics. I finally had to go with musical compatibility and choose “Your Guardian Angel”. 😛

22. Of all the choices here, I am going to have to go with “All Around Me” by Flyleaf. It’s so teen angst. And it’s from a girl’s perspective, like Bella. And, you know, Bella gets obsessive enough to really feel Edward all around her. And there is that line about “thickening the air I’m breathing” Yeah, that is so Edward making her dizzy.

    But, if you really wanna stay in the spirit of the series (with the classical music Edward plays…) I’ve been reading New Moon whilst listening to the theme song from Requiem For a Dream. You wanna talk about angstyness…. And it’s got a good climactic build up too.

OK… so none of the songs that I submitted were picked, and I still think “Bring Me to Life” by Evanesence is the absolutely perfect choice for Twilight for both Edward and Bella, they both wake each other up, and bring each other out of a type of darkness in which they were both living… but I’m older, and therefor my tastes are older, and much more refined… Iris is definately the best choice in this list, with Muse close behind… and if anyone actually read the lyrics to “Bleeding Love,” it totally doesn’t fit. Great job, and hopefully the masses will do the vote justice (or at least the musical coordinator for the movie will have some sense;).)

26. Hey people! Some updates on the songs:
    Lion by RSJ, Time Is Running Out by Muse and Your Guardian Angel by RJA are the three in the lead. They’re literally all within 40 votes of each other.

    The others are not far behind either. Iris is up with Hero/Heroine by Boys Like Girls.

    For all the people talking about Bleeding Love, I don’t know how it got on there either. But it is still getting a huge amount of votes, so obviously a lot of fans are still picking it.

27. muse for sure! i mean stephenies favorite band is muse and she even quotes time is running out in twilight!! edward says you will be the death of me and that is direct from this song. i am a die hard fan of both muse and meyer so this just seems right :]

30. Just read through the comments again. My oh my, it’s getting so close!!! Ah, all of them seem to be: blah, blah, blah LION! Then blah, blah, blah YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL. Then blah, blah, blah TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!!!! I voted for TIRO. I’m not sure people are looking into the song and book enough, of it would have more votes. Come on people, let’s not let Twilight down by voting for a ‘not so good for Twilight’ song. Except for the song I voted for, I really did not like any of the song choices at all.

    ‘Bleeding Love’ should have been more for New Moon. To me, it sounds too depressing.
    ‘Here in Your Arms’ sounds too Tech-no for me. Kinda irritating.
    I’ve heard the rest of the songs, and they’re really good to.

45. muse, definitely.

46. Muse definitely fits but overall is too dark for the book. Twilight is dark, sure, but has overtones of hope that are much better reflected in Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. This song is classic, and gorgeous, and perfect.
