Twilight Spotlight: Who Should Direct Breaking Dawn?
November 3rd, 2009 at 10:50 am by Kaleb Nation
Check out the clip above from the latest ReelzChannel TWILIGHT SPOTLIGHT feature! They asked the top Twilight websites who they thought should direct the Breaking Dawn movie. Being a huge Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy 1 fan, I immediately thought that Guillermo Del Toro would be a cool pick. He’d bring something totally different to the series (and probably more grimy creature battles!).
FOR THE COMMENTS: Who do YOU think should direct the Breaking Dawn film?

i always had the idea that all the directors of the saga (twilight, new moon and eclipse) should come together and work on breaking dawn… if that was possible. =D
idk just something i thought of.

I say Catherine Hardwicke or Chris Weitz. But I like Mar123's idea, too. That would be awesome. :]

ewwwwww kaleb NO! Its a risky business. “maybe” he will do a good job but probably not. Anyone who genuenly has a connection to it, and has some good ideas for it and all should be the candidates for direction of the film. There are no “creature battles” in New Moon. OK got it.

Personally I think they should definitely bring back Chris Weitz if his schedule is cleared….or ask one of the Harry Potter movie directors….David Yates is awesome!

They should use Chris Weitz if they can. From what I've seen of New Moon it looks really good, and I think he has already done a far better job than Catherine Hardwicke.

Um…Hello! What about Peter Jackson would be the best ever!!! He would be soooo true to the story! Attention to detail…the list goes on! He was a genious with LOTR's so why shouldn't he direct another amazing book!!!

The thing with Guillermo del Toro Kaleb is that he said in an interview that he dodnt like Twilight at all, neither the movie nor the books, that those werent real vampires so he would make a movie with real vamps and i believe he already ended writing the script…So even of summit offered him BD, i think he would decline… who knows…
And i agree with Nicole! My pick for BD's director is one of HP's previous directors: Alfonso Cuaron. The third movie is so far the one that is true to the book and is one of my favorites because of what he'd done, everything in it was great! he made the interpersonal connection between the characters and i think thats really important because BD doesnt have a lot of action, but more about personal relationships, edward and bellas marriage, the baby, jacobs and bellas climax point of their relationship…..so what u think?

omg! they mentioned you Kaleb!!!! and i totally want Tim Burton to do it, all his past movies are amazing and he'll bring that creepy feel with him. last thing, Chris Weitz has not stayed true to the book, not in the trailers ive seen.

I love what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon. The colors look amazing (far more than Twilight) and everyone in general looks great in the movie. I also loved what he did with The Golden Compass (great CGI effects). I think he'd be an excellent choice or maybe Alfonso Cuaron.

i think chris weitz should direct it. new moon was directed beautifully and u think he would do a great service to the book.

Chris Weitz… I'm so glad that Catherine Hardwick didn't direct new moon. that would have been a travesty to not have the awesome new moon we have now and instead some crappy version of it. but when I think about it chirs weitz may not be what breaking dawn needs after the some what I hear darker Eclipse…

Only CH could do it. Go back and watch Twilight and look at Edward, listen to the music, and feel the overpowering emotion. Then watch new moon and wonder what's wrong with the way edward looks, why the music doesn't go, why the movie feel rushed, why the heck they get on an elevator in Italy, and ultimately why don't you feel anything during the movie.

Thanks for your article on this weblog. From my own personal experience, occasionally softening way up a photograph may provide the digital photographer with an amount of an artsy flare. Sometimes however, the soft clouds isnt exactly what you had in mind and can in many cases spoil a normally good photograph, especially if you consider enlarging the item.
